Lindsay, Ontario — Barry Devolin, MP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock today announced three projects throughout the local area that are moving forward thanks to an investment of more than $750,000 to stimulate our local economy under the Community Adjustment Fund (CAF).
These
investments will create immediate employment opportunities and support local
economies in communities throughout
“Our government is committed to improving and supporting our communities,” said Devolin. “The Community Adjustment Fund will create the most jobs per dollar invested, build on collaboration agreements already in place, and provide a legacy of longer-term ecological and economic benefits”.

These
projects were part of the up to $102 million investment made through the
Community Adjustment Fund for 2009-2010, announced on August 27th by
the Honourable Gary Goodyear, newly appointed Minister of State for the Federal
Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). It
is the government's intention to support a total of 90 projects in communities
across

projects must meet the terms and conditions set out in their funding agreements.
