GALWAY-CAVENDISH AND HARVEY - Local MP Barry Devolin, on behalf of the Honourable Josée Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, is proud to announce a total of $1700 for two separate Celebrate Canada projects in Galway-Cavendish and Harvey Township.
The money will be divided up to help cover the costs Canada Day
celebrations at the Buckhorn Community Centre and at the Kinmount
Fairgrounds. Events
include such things as children’s activities, live entertainment,
fireworks and a parade.
“Celebrate Canada activities have become a tradition offering Canadians the opportunity to share their pride in their country,” said Devolin. “The success of these events is due, in great part, to the volunteer members who work tirelessly to ensure each Canadian has an opportunity to enjoy local celebrations.”
