GOVERNMENT
OF
CANADA
INVESTS IN HALIBURTON-KAWARTHA
LAKES-BROCK TO
STIMULATE LOCAL ECONOMY
Lindsay,
Ontario — Barry Devolin, MP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock today
announced three projects throughout the local area that are moving forward
thanks to an investment of more than $750,000 to stimulate our local
economy under the Community Adjustment Fund (CAF).
These
investments will create immediate employment opportunities and support
local economies in communities throughout
Southern Ontario
with populations of fewer than 250,000 that rely heavily on manufacturing
and natural resources.
“Our
government is committed to improving and supporting our communities,”
said Devolin. “The Community Adjustment Fund will
create the most jobs per dollar invested, build on collaboration
agreements already in place, and provide a legacy of longer-term
ecological and economic benefits”.
