DEVOLIN ANNOUNCES $1,250 IN CELEBRATE CANADA FUNDING FOR
CAVAN-MONAGHAN
MILLBROOK - Local MP Barry Devolin, on behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, is proud to announce a total of $1,250 for a Celebrate Canada event in the Township of
Cavan-Monaghan.
The will use the money to help cover some of the costs of their Canada Day celebrations. Events include such things as a parade, flag raising ceremony, cake cutting, children’s activities, live entertainment and fireworks.
“Celebrate Canada activities have become a tradition offering Canadians the opportunity to share their pride in their country,” said Devolin. “The success of these events is due, in great part, to the volunteer members who work tirelessly to ensure each Canadian has an opportunity to enjoy local celebrations.”
“I’d like to thank Parmik Chahal at the Township of Cavan-Monaghan for submitting a successful funding application,” stated Devolin. “Having the opportunity to thank people for their hard work and commitment to making our communities better is one of the most rewarding things that I do as your MP.”
“Canada Day is an opportunity to gather in our communities, from coast to coast to coast, and to proudly celebrate all we have in common,” said
Devolin.
